What is video marketing?

Red video marketing ninjaWhat is video marketing?  Video marketing is story telling.

Customers buy from people that know, like and trust.  A video is the quickest way for customers to get to know you, learn to like you and build trust.  Let’s talk about those thing . . .

Videos help customers know you

When you share a story about your business or share why you are so passionate about what you do, customers get to know you.  They see your face, hear your voice and become familiar with you.

Imagine how much easier it is for customers to come to your store when they feel like they already have a friend there.  It is funny to have someone walk in your store already knowing you, but it is much better than them staying away because they don’t know what to expect.

Videos help customers like you

When you share on video, customers get a feel for the culture of your business.  When they hear something that they can relate to, they begin to create an affinity, or liking, to your business.

They actually begin to like your business and feel like ‘one of you’ when they visit your location. The key here is to get out into the community and stand for something.

Videos help customers trust you

This is a huge one. W hen customers see you sharing about your business, they see how much you know.  When you ‘wow’ them, you become an authority to them…yes, you are actually seen as an expert to them.

Videos help you share your knowledge and become a trusted friend.

There are lots of ways to build knowing, liking and trusting into a video campaign.  If you would like to really create a powerful tool to connect to customers, we need to talk.

What is web design?

website design ninjaWhat is web design?  It is dating.  But let’s get to that in a moment.

A webpage is the back bone to your online presence. It is the first place many customers find out about a business and today’s consumers are fussy.  They research before making a decision, so you better know what they are looking for.

Back to dating . . .

When you want to date someone you usually find out a bit about the person you want to date.

Then, you approach that person in a non-threatening way to show her/him that you are worthy of notice.

Then, you ask her/him out on a date where you get all ‘gussied’ up. (Yep, can you tell I am from Texas!)

Then, on that date you present your best qualities and talk in a way that makes your date light up so that she/he will want to continue a relationship with you.

Ok, so you got the picture of dating.  If you need dating advice, this is not the page to be on.  If you want to know about web pages, here we go . . .

Your webpage is the first thing potential customers (read ‘date’) see about you.

They browse to see how you look.  (Is your web design appealing?)

They look to see how you talk. (Do your words communicate value?)

They look to see your culture. (How to you respond to others?)

They look to see about your previous relationships. (Do you have customer reviews on your page?)

They search to see what others are saying about you.  (Do you have social media working for you?)

A web page can literally make or break a business.  It is not the end all beat all, but in today’s marketplace, it is much better to have a good working page than not. (There are a bunch of statistics, but I won’t bore you with those.)

If you don’t have a webpage, we can help.  If you have one, we can give you a check up to see how other dates are seeing you.  Wouldn’t you want to know if your hair was sticking up or if you have spinach in your teeth?  We will help you find those things.   Go ahead and contact us today before your date finds someone else!

What is ranking?

Red online ranking ninjaWhat is ranking?  IF you have ever been to high school, you know what ranking is.

I guess you can say it is like a popularity contest.  You either look really cool, act in a way that gets attention, or pay to get noticed.

For a business, ranking means that you ‘rank’ high in a search engine like MySearchNetwork,  Google or Bing.  Your goal is to get to the top of the page so people see you when they search.

The key is to find out how someone would find your business.  In other words, what terms would someone use to search about your company?  Those are called keywords.

Keywords are like hanging with the right crowd.  If you want to hang with the computer group, you talk in words they can understand.  If you want to attract the head cheerleader, you have to dress and talk in a way that gets her attention.

How do you get better ranking?

  • Use the right keywords.  Make sure you know what people are  looking for to find you.
  • Have a webpage for someone to get that information.  (You have to dress the part!)
  • Use social indicators.  (Whoa!  None of that!  Just kidding, make sure you are using social media and people are sharing and commenting on your posts.)
  • Pay for it.  (Let’s be honest, money works.  You can create an ad and if you have enough money, it can be on the top of all the others.

There is a lot more we can talk about, but I want to keep this info short.  We will have much more on this topic, so keep your eyes open!

What is a mobile marketing strategy?

Here are some ideas.  There are many more,  but these will get you started:

  • Create a mobile friendly website. (Good starting point; there are many software and web programs that do this automatically.)
  • Create a mobile ONLY website. (Great thinking, take it to the next level. We can help with that for a great price.)
  • Use a texting campaign. (Now you are thinking out of the box.  It may take time to set up, but can be powerful.)
  • Use it to create a photo campaign. (Great idea, let’s do it.  It is not cost to you and can do wonders!)
  • Create an app for your buisness.  (Can be costly and may not be beneficial unless your audience are big app followers.)
  • Create a game for your business. (Again costly, but may work depending on your audience.)
  • Ok, we can go on, but it is best to sit down with an experts (contact one of our ninjas) and develop a plan of action that works for you and your business.

What is social media?

Red social media ninjaI know this is a simple question, but let’s start with the basics.  What is social media?

Social: Social media means interacting with others.

Media: A way to present information.

Put those two together and you have a way to present information about yourself and your business so that you can interact with other.

Let’s compare:

INTRODUCE YOURSELF

Introducing yourself in real life would mean that you tell someone your name and you tell them ‘about’ yourself.  You may share where you work, hobbies, where you went to school, etc.  Online is much the same. You create your profile that has a unique name.  On that profile, you have an ‘about’ section where you share as little or much as you want others to know.

INTRODUCE FRIENDS

If you were at a party, you would introduce old friends to new friends.  Online is much the same way.  You may share about the ball game you just went to.  One of your friends gives you a hard time because he was going for the other team.  Then, another, unrelated friend comments because he was also going for another team. Now, these two have a shared interest because both of them knows you and likes the other team.

INTRODUCE THOUGHTS

Part of many social events is ‘small talk.’  You take time to talk about the weather, sports, current events..etc.  As you get to know people in the group, you begin to share social causes you support, religious affiliation and things like that.  Online, as you develop a group of friends with a certain common bond, you ‘group’ them so that you have a single location to share ideas about your favorite topic.

No matter what social media you use, Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Pinterest, GooglePlus or any of the other thousands.  They all have common themes: introduce yourself, introduce others and share common thoughts.  If you understand this, you understand social media.

If you want more detailed info about social media.  Visit our social media page or look for more articles.
